Turning Personal Loss into Public Gain

I have witnessed it over and over: people’s greatest ministry is often built on the platform of their greatest brokenness. They are living examples of what Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4: “… the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” It’s vital that we not waste our pain but recycle and redeem it.

God has shown His Goodness to me. He has shown me that all things happen for my very best and I must set the example of Christ in all situations in my life. Even when things go wrong and I have trouble, He tells me to be patient and trust Him. He will settle things. I have undergone financial loss, sickness, humiliation at the workspot and difficulties at home and many other things. But He has not let me down, He has provided for me and my family and taken care of me. This is the circumstances He allows in my life so that I may gain a share of Christ’s Glory. I learn to trust Him, be kind, patient, not lust, not desire, not covet, be faithful. I think in a certain way: a righteous man is one who will not cheat, but a faithful one is one who loves and helps even in difficult situations. I see how much I love my neighbour and how God wants me to love them. I see the price He paid for me on the cross and in His Life on earth and the attitude He tells me to have. I have experienced the Holy Spirit’s leading.

Come to this life. Jesus has died on the cross for all the sins you have ever committed and wants to forgive you and make you a child of God so you can be with Him for all eternity. He died on the cross and rose again on the third day, never to die again. Jesus came to give life-an abundant life (read the Bible: John chapter 10 & verse 10).

If you have not received Jesus into your life, you can kneel and pray this simple prayer:

Lord Jesus thank you for your love for me and dying for my sins on the cross. By your blood, I can be cleansed from my sins and start a new life. Please forgive my sins and come into my life as Saviour and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me and accepting me. Lead me into the new way of life where I put away the old bad way of life and start a new divine life. Amen.

Read the Bible. It is God’s love letter to you (I mean it, we see God’s Kindness to those who follow Him and His wrath towards sin and sinners who do not repent). Start with the Gospel of Mark and then read Romans. Then complete the rest of the New Testament and then the Old Testament. May the Lord bless you.

Acts 14:16-17 …

Acts 14:16-17 (NASB):16 In the generations gone by He permitted all the nations to go their own ways; 17 and yet He did not leave Himself without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness.”

This is God’s Goodness.  It is also my experience.  He Loves you and cares for you.  The Lord is gracious and His Kindness is everlasting. Even though He  has to punish those who sin (we all have sinned), He loves you and sent Jesus, His Own Son to die on the cross and pay the penalty for your sins.  Jesus died and rose again on the third day since death could not hold Him as He had never sinned and now is in Heaven interceding for us. Those who receive Jesus into their life as Saviour and Lord are forgiven their sins and become the children of God.  Come into this life.  You will have real peace and joy such as the world can never give and you will be with Him through all eternity.  Those who do not repent of their sins and receive Jesus will bear the punishment of death and eternal separation from God in a lake of fire.  As it is written:

  1. Acts 17:30
Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent,
You can receive Jesus into your life by praying (i.e. speaking to Jesus).  Pray like this:
Jesus I want to thank you for your love for me and giving your life in my place on the cross.  I want to repent of my sins (i.e.change my way of life) and follow you.  Please forgive me and come into my life as my Saviour and Lord.  Thank you for your goodness. Amen (which means: it shall be so).

Jesus will come into your life and you will be a part of God’s family.  Welcome to the privileges given to the children of God.  Read the Bible, starting with the New Testament books of Mark & Romans.  Then start reading the rest.  Let us know so we can also pray for you.  You can use the contact form below if you like.

With Love,

Seth.

The church has …

The church has surrendered her once lofty concept of God and has substituted for it one so low, so ignoble, as to be utterly unworthy of thinking, worshiping men. This she has done not deliberately, but little by little and without her knowledge; and her very unawareness only makes her situation all the more tragic. This low view of God entertained almost universally among Christians is the cause of a hundred lesser evils everywhere among us. A whole new philosophy of the Christian life has resulted from this one basic error in our religious thinking.

Taken from:Bernecker, Robert (2013-08-12). Who’s Your Father?:  Returning to the Love of the Biblical God (p. 53). Kindle Edition.

When we lack faith, we do not expect any good from the Lord.  We doubt His Love and Graciousness.  When things do not go according to our plan, we doubt Him. Instead of asking where I went wrong, I think that God is not good to me.  Faith means total trust & dependence on God in His Love, Graciousness and Power, that He can and will give me the very best.  Even if things appear to be wrong, I believe my Heavenly Father is in control and is doing it in His Wisdom as to what is good for me and His Wisdom is truly the very best for me.

In fact, if I come to full faith in Him, I will not be disturbed, angry, disappointed or in any hurry.  I do not mean that I do not ask Him for anything, I will definitely ask for whatever I like or need or want, but I am submitted to His Will and willing to give up anything if it is not His Will.  I am 100% assured that my Heavenly Father loves me and will give me the very best.  So shall we say Amen to that?
